Associates for Bilingual Child Development, Inc. (ABCD) is a community-based program specializing in providing preschool age (3-5 years) children with diagnostic, educational and therapeutic services.  We are a New York State Education Department (NYSED) approved program.

ABCD, Inc offers multi-disciplinary evaluations (MDE). A team of specialists, including a social worker, a developmental pediatrician and, a psychologist, are available to conduct a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of the child’s strengths and weaknesses in each child’s dominant language.  Should a child require further assessment, specialists, such as speech pathologists, occupational therapists or physical therapists, are included in the team.

ABCD, Inc., also, offers Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) Services to preschool age children who qualify for services. In addition, related services, such as speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and counseling can be coordinated when a child is so mandated.  Services can be provided in the child’s natural environment, including the child’s home, daycare center, Head Start program or school.  Highly qualified, state certified professionals are available to service the multilingual and multi-cultural population.
